SPH (Sphere)

Spherical error, or overall power of lens is the basic part of your prescription. A (+) means you have trouble seeing near, and a (-) means you have trouble seeing things faraway.

CYL (Cylinder) & Axis

A cylinder value indicates astigmatisms or perpetually blurry vision. Axis—measured between 1 and 180°— tell us the orientation of the astigmatism

ADD (Addition)

This number is sometimes written NV for near vision and is used for multifocal lenses and readers

PD (Pupillary Distance)

It's just what sounds like—the distance in millimeters (mm) between your pupils. An average PD measurement is 63 mm, but varies by person. If it's not on the prescription, you can measure it yourself by printing our downloadable PD ruler.

PRISM

We can process prism prescriptions to correct eye orientation

Vertical Prism is used to help correct vertical eye misalignments and is prescribed in opposite directions for both eyes

Horizontal Prism is used to help correct lateral eye misalignments and is always prescribed in the same direction for both eyes

    Options in Green Eyeglass Frames

Options make your green eyeglass frames your own. Our choices range from the size and shape of your eyewear to the rim and frame style. Pick from these options to create some of the following styles:

    • Modern. Rectangle- and square-shaped frames made from metal create a modern look for your green eyeglasses. Semi-rimless frames also make for a clean look. If you have a square or oval face, these frame choices will meet your modern style and emphasize your facial features.

    • Retro. Horn or wayfarer-style eyeglasses capture the 1950s. Create a bold look with a green patterned pair of horn-shaped frames that mix the past and the present for a modern-retro aesthetic. Round, square, and oval faces shine in green eyeglass frames with a retro flair.

    • Timeless. Oval-, square-, and rectangle-shaped frames made from metal or plastic offer a timeless style with deep and muted greens. Choose a translucent green or light green to spice up your everyday look. Like the frame style, square, oval, and round faces are timeless in this eyewear.

    • See how you look before you buy with EyeTry™. Upload your photo, sans eyewear, and find the style and shade of green that matches you.
